Volunteer Management Intern:
Rockies Venture Club is seeking an intern to support our team in managing our teams and committees of volunteers.
Rockies Venture Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance Colorado’s economic development by actively connecting investors with the most promising entrepreneurial companies and by offering education programs for both angel investors and entrepreneurs. Rockies Venture Club holds more than 100 educational workshops, mastermind groups, angel forums and conferences a year– including its annual Angel Capital Summit, Cannabis Capital Summit and Colorado Capital Conference.
Candidates should be prepared to devote approximately 10-20 hours a week. Start and end dates roughly August 24th through December 11th (flexible). This is an unpaid position.

Responsibilities:
– Oversee project management and tasks for RVC’s nine volunteer committees (Marketing, Screening/Coaching, Sponsorship, Investor Relations, Facilities and Logistics, Biz Girls CEO Accelerator, Speakers, Membership and Volunteers)
– Coordinate with chairs of committees to make sure each team has the resources they need and that they are up to date on their project schedules
– Manage volunteers at RVC conferences and monthly events
– Recognize and thank volunteers
– Check in with committees and committee chairs on a regular basis
– Serve as a liaison between the RVC management team and the volunteer committees
Qualifications:
– Recent graduate or current student with an interest in Venture Capital
– Ability to work independently and take initiative
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Project management experience preferred

Rockies Venture Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance Colorado’s economic development by actively connecting investors with the most promising entrepreneurial companies and by offering education programs for both angel investors and entrepreneurs. Rockies Venture Club holds more than 100 educational workshops, mastermind groups, angel forums and conferences a year– including its annual Angel Capital Summit, Cannabis Capital Summit and Colorado Capital Conference.
RVC depends on ambassadors to make connections throughout the community and to orient new members. Ambassadors are RVC members who can communicate upcoming events and RVC value proposition to companies seeking capital, angels seeking investment, and others seeking connections to the venture capital community. Ambassadors are critical to welcoming new members and making sure they get the most out of their membership experience.
Candidates should be prepared to devote approximately 10-20 hours a week. Start and end dates roughly August 24th through December 11th (flexible). This is an unpaid position.

Biz Girls, CEO Accelerator Intern:
Rockies Venture Club is seeking an intern to support our team in launching Biz Girls into its fifth season.
Rockies Venture Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance Colorado’s economic development by actively connecting investors with the most promising entrepreneurial companies and by offering education programs for both angel investors and entrepreneurs. Rockies Venture Club holds more than 100 educational workshops, mastermind groups, angel forums and conferences a year– including its annual Angel Capital Summit, Cannabis Capital Summit and Colorado Capital Conference.
Biz Girls is a CEO development program for teen girls and is run under the umbrella of Rockies Venture Club. Biz Girls is a dynamic, hands-on experience that takes the interests, skills and passions of young women and helps them to understand how their own unique strengths can be turned into a profitable business. By the end of the camp, each girl is the CEO of a real, operating business enterprise. Along the way, girls have fun while learning about leadership, confidence, self-reliance and the principals of a market economy.

– Identify strong women leaders who are willing to serve as role models and mentors to young entrepreneurs
– Work with program director to edit program materials
– Assist as a TA with the Biz Girls program in the summer if available
– Set up visits to high schools to promote the program and identify advertising opportunities within schools
– Prepare press releases
Qualifications:
– Recent graduate or current student with an interest in Venture Capital
– Ability to work independently and take initiative
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Marketing and advertising experience preferred
